TRIAD is a national program that provides guidelines and procedures for developing a formal partnership between local law enforcement agencies and older adults and local businesses. In Groton, the TRIAD is formed between the Town of Groton Police Department, the Groton Senior Center and People’s United Bank. The focus for the TRIAD is safety. Programs range from identity theft prevention to medication management. The Groton TRIAD has offered Shred It days, Drug Take Back program, educational sessions and the Yellow Dot program.
