Market Analysis and Zoning Regulation Audit
The Groton Office of Planning and Development Services completed a regulatory audit of the town’s zoning and subdivision regulations. The audit identified inconsistencies, confusing and overly bureaucratic language, as well as out of date and redundant regulations. The Zoning Commission is already using the audit as a road map to guide their Zoning Regulations revision project.
A town-wide Economic and Market Trends Analysis examined local market conditions to best strategize business growth. The analysis will inform strategic decision –making and develop focused strategies that move Groton from planning to action. It defines Groton’s market opportunities and proposes strategies and actions designed to capitalize on those opportunities. The first 18 pages of the document serve as an executive summary and the remainder of the document holds more data and tables.
