How can I support the Groton Public Library?
Donations to the Library are a great way to ensure that the programs, materials and services you value continue to be available. We have several different ways to accept your donations and hope that one of them will fit your needs.

Groton Public Library Endowment Fund

Established at the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut with a bequest from the estate of a Groton resident, the endowment will provide a source of ongoing support as it grows.

We are hoping that others will add to the fund over the years through contributions or estate planning. Please contact the Library Director or the Foundation for details.

Donation Trust Fund

Contributions to the Donation Trust Fund are an investment in the future of our community. To assure that our Library continues to be responsive to the needs of our residents, we invite your support through donations, both large and small. Join with us to help our Library continue to be a vital part of the community.

Proceeds from the Library’s annual book sales are directed to this account and are used to support library programs and services.

Donations may be directed to a specific service, for example, children’s programs or large print books, or may be unrestricted, to be used at our discretion.

Honor With Books

Commemorate the important people and events in your life by supporting the purchase of new books. For each gift of $25 or more to Honor With Books, the Library will place a bookplate with a special message in a newly purchased book.

On request, the honoree or their family will receive a copy of the bookplate with a letter informing them of the gift. This is a great way to support the Library and mark a special anniversary or birthday, celebrate a wedding or birth, or remember a special friend.
