Groton residents must present proof of Groton residency to obtain a Groton Public Library card. Proof of residency must include name and street address (for example, a driver's license or car registration).
- Adults and students in 6th grade and up may obtain their library cards at the Information Desk.
- Children, ages 4-11, may obtain their library cards at the Information Desk. At the time of application, a parent or guardian must present proof of his/her residency and sign the child's application form.
- Library cards are issued at no charge to Groton residents, and will be valid for three (3) years from the date of issue.
- Summer residents may obtain a four-month library card for $6.00. Out-of-state residents may obtain a twelve-month library card for $20.00 These temporary library cards are valid only at the Groton Public Library.
