The Connecticut DOT has announced that the closure of Mosher Avenue for the bridge replacement that was schedule for March-April has been postponed until the fall 2021. The new date for road closure is now September 7, 2021. The contractor has 84 days, from that date, to complete the bridge replacement and open the road up to alternating one-way traffic. This alternating traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic lights and is expected to be in place through next winter as the contractor completes the project.
The contractor will be doing some work on the bridge over the next couple of months so there may be occasional bridge closures during the day. The detour and one-way circulation will remain in place during this time, but it will be removed over the busy summer months.
