At their July 12, 2022 regular Committee of the Whole meeting, the Groton Town Council recommended approval of a draft short-term rental (STR) ordinance.  The Ordinance will be taken up again at the Town Council's regular Council meeting on August 2 at 6:30 p.m.  The Town Council STR Ordinance would require an annual registration and to have a contact available within 120 minutes to respond to any issues.

The Town's Planning and Zoning Commission is also discussing potential zoning regulations for STRs, which would only apply to those that do not exist at the time of adoption of any ordinances.
